The Fcc maintains a database of all licenses granted for the use of frequency and digital transmission spectrums and services. This information includes details that are a matter of public record about the station or licensee .

This is the link for the FCC database search page that allows the public to look up  amateur (ham) radio station licenses. Amateur radio licenses are granted, not owned, and the individual who holds the license is considered a “station”. The laws and guidelines that govern Amateur stations are as inflexible as a commercial station, and share many similar provisions.
